The Tropical Australian Academic Health Centre recently opened its first call for applications for research funding.

The Tropical Australian Academic Health Centre (TAAHC) Research Seed Grants aim to seed translational research projects that address TAAHC strategic research priorities and that demonstrate the potential to develop into significant programs of work capable of accessing external funding sources.

Thirty-five Research Seed Grant applications were received and these are currently undergoing review.

Successful applications will be funded for up to 2 years, with a total maximum investment of $50,000 from TAAHC for the duration of the grant.

The TAAHC Research Seed Grants are an important component of TAAHC's work to support high-level translational research capacity within TAAHC. TAAHC looks forward to announcing successful applications in late July 2019.
